London, 29th November, 2013 - Nickelodeon’s brand-new, original TV movie Jinxed, starring Ciara Bravo (Big Time Rush) and featuring Burkely Duffield (House of Anubis) will premiere on Friday 6th December at 7:00pm in the UK, only one week after the U.S.
The 90-minute comedy follows the misadventures of Meg Murphy (Bravo) whose family has been magically cursed with "Murphy's Law" - a spell of never-ending bad luck. Meg sets off on a zany journey to break the 100-year-old jinx that has caused the Murphys to become the unluckiest family ever.
While spending the summer at her grandpa's house, Meg develops a friendship with a local boy named Brett and the possibility of romance probes Meg to break the family's "if anything can go wrong, it will" curse.  She and her daredevil little brother, Charlie (Jacob Bertrand, Marvin Marvin), set off on a hilarious, calamity-filled adventure to try to turn their family's luck around once and for all and give Meg the normal life she's always dreamed of living.
Jinxed is directed by Stephen Herek (The Mighty Ducks, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Academy Award-nominated Mr. Holland's Opus) from a teleplay by Aury Wallington (Veronica Mars, Cupid's Christmas) and Neal Israel, based on an unproduced script by Bill Timoney. The film is executive produced by Scott McAboy (Swindle, Big Time Movie, Merry Christmas Drake & Josh).
